How the finders work

Each finder asks a few plain questions, scores your answers against a short list of options and shows the best match, often with a runner-up. Some answers can force a result. A horse that cannot chew hay is pointed toward cubed or chopped forage, and a horse with a mouth problem is pointed toward bitless options.

Every result page explains why it fits, what to check before you buy or commit, how the options compare, which calculators help and when the result is not the right fit. You can retake a quiz as often as you like.

What a finder cannot do

A finder cannot see your horse. It does not know about a lameness, a dental problem, a metabolic condition or a temperament quirk, and it cannot replace a veterinarian, a farrier, a saddle fitter or a trainer. Where a result involves health, such as feed, hay, deworming, supplements or breeding, treat it as a starting point for a conversation with your veterinarian. Read our disclaimer and safety notes.
